Sick of the news

I'm normally a news junkie, but this week I just can't watch it. It's worse when I'm away from home, because so few hotel channel lineups include FoxNews. Drudge lets me know about the big happenings, but even that tends to feel like scandal journalism after a while. I get so worn out listening to the incredibly liberal media slant on other channels. Case in point, MSNBC's Hardball. After reading Michelle Malkin's explanation of her recent interview, I'm even more disgusted with the way many of those in the media manipulate the message to serve their own purpose. Michelle was there to push her book, but they asked her to participate in a discussion about the Swift Boat Vets for Truth. Instead of being able to voice her opinion, she was shouted down at every point, while Willie Brown was allowed to make ad homenim attacks against the people who wrote the book. Apparently, Chris Matthews hadn't even read the book and wasn't aware of the claims inside. Michelle never got to talk about her book.
